Incidents occurred shortly before the Rio–Antirrio Bridge, as farmers broke through the police blockade and managed to open the toll gates.

In a video from nafpaktianews.gr, farmers can be seen lifting the toll barriers and urging drivers not to pay the fee and to pass through.

Earlier, the situation escalated for a few minutes, with riot police clashing physically with the crowd. In a video from the local website thebest, a riot police officer appears to be attacked with a wooden stick by a man.

The police had placed vans at the junction of the ring road with the national highway and blocked the tractors; however, the farmers proceeded on foot. This resulted in clashes and reactions, leading to the use of tear gas and flashbang grenades.
