The Islamist extremist group “Ashab Al Yamim” claimed responsibility for the attack on a Jewish school in Amsterdam early Saturday morning, even releasing a video allegedly showing the detonation of the explosive device.
The city’s mayor, Femke Halsema, described the attack as deliberate and targeted against the Jewish community, noting that it caused limited damage to the building.
The incident comes after a similar explosive attack outside a synagogue in Rotterdam caused a small fire and damage, and four suspects were arrested by Dutch police.
The Islamic extremist group appears to be linked to several anti-Semitic attacks in recent days in the Netherlands.
