Former White House adviser Steve Bannon said that if Donald Trump chooses to escalate hostilities in Iran, the United States would need to engage in “all-out war” to achieve its military objectives.
Speaking on the War Room podcast, Bannon argued that Israelis, Arabs, and Europeans are “playing games” with the United States.
“The Israelis are playing games with us. The Arabs are playing games with us. The Europeans are playing games with us. And what are we doing? We send troops there, which is fine. President Trump needs options and alternatives to negotiate around a military operation,” he said. “I want the Arabs on the front lines, in the first wave, on Island Kharg. Send the UAE.”
At another point, referring to the possibility of a U.S. ground operation in Iran, he added, “We will go and do what Alexander the Great did 2,300 years ago.”
