The Ministry of Health has put out for public consultation until April 27 the heraldic bill that provides, among other things, for the establishment of the long-awaited by the pharmaceutical industry Innovation Fund. The bill includes several regulations concerning both the National Health Services Organization (EOPYY) and issues concerning hospitals, the sale of tobacco products to minors, and a ban on the sale of certain cannabis products.
Among the provisions is the creation of an electronic application for oncology – haematology patients, through which the possibility of systematic recording of symptoms and health parameters by the patient is provided. In particular, a digital system (via a mobile application and gov.gr) is foreseen for the recording and monitoring of cancer patients’ data (diagnoses, treatments, prescriptions, etc.). Patients can log into the app with a secure connection (Taxisnet or e-banking and OTP code) and view their medical data. They can also keep a personal medical record, monitor their treatment, have informative material, and communicate with their doctor.
