Increased concentrations of dust from Africa today, Tuesday, which will continue for the next three days, are the main feature of weather, according to meteorologist, Giorgos Tsatrafillias

“Otherwise the weather will continue to be an ally today for those who choose to return from their Easter holidays. In fact, the winds in the Ionian Sea will gradually weaken,” according to Tsatrafyllia’s forecast.

In more detail, “we expect cloudy weather in most areas which will become thicker in the Ionian Sea and mainland Greece after noon and will produce light showers which will mud”.

The temperature will reach 21 to 22 degrees Celsius in central Greece and Crete and 18 to 19 degrees Celsius in other areas. Moreover, in the evening the thermometers will not exceed 13 to 14 degrees Celsius in mainland Greece and 15 to 16 degrees in the islands.

Winds in the Ionian Sea will blow southeast up to 8 Beaufort and in the Aegean up to 6 Beaufort but will weaken during the night.

In Attica after noon muddy snow is expected mainly in the north. Winds will blow from southeastern directions and will reach 3 Beaufort in the Euboikos and 3 Beaufort in the Saronic Gulf. The temperature will range from 10 to 18 degrees.

On the contrary, in Thessaloniki only clouds with almost no wind in Thermaikos and a temperature ranging from 9 to 18 degrees.

On Wednesday, similar weather conditions are forecast with mud showers and high temperatures mainly in western Greece. Then, from Thursday onwards, northerly winds will enter, which, although they will gradually remove the African dust, will not particularly lower the temperature, which will remain high for the season, while no significant rainfall is expected.
