Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis set out the government’s stance on geopolitical developments and the domestic political landscape during his meeting with President of the Republic Konstantinos Tasoulas at the Presidential Mansion.
Referring to national and international developments, the Prime Minister stressed that “Greece is facing the major challenges of this turbulent era with calm and confidence,” underlining that the country has “strong deterrent capabilities, strong alliances, and international law on its side.”
At the same time, Mitsotakis sent a message of continuity and political stability, stating that “the reshaping of the political landscape does not concern us.” As he said, the government remains fully focused on implementing its program, adding that “every month counts,” as “one year remains until the constitutional completion of our term in office.”
He also made special reference to the progress of the Recovery and Resilience Fund, noting that by the end of August all pending issues related to the programme will have been completed.
The Prime Minister also addressed the issue of inflation and the cost of living, reiterating that the government remains focused on supporting citizens. In this context, he reminded that a €150 per child support payment for families will be disbursed in June.
