The tunnel boring machine (TBM) used for the construction of metro at Piraeus caused damages to the yard of a house, about 130 meters away from Nikaia station to Maniatika.

According to reports, during the construction works, the TBM scraped the bottom of a water well and the surface collapsed. The owners of the house called the police and Attiko Metro, which started filling the gap with concrete in order to restore the damage caused.

The company responsible for the metro construction, Attiko Metro, claims that since the water had been filled and sealed, it was not mapped, so they could not avoid the damage caused.
