High class prostitution ring busted! Well known manager involved

They operated in France and Germany, besides Greece

Newsroom April 27 01:46

Greek police have smashed a high class prostitution ring operating in Greece and abroad after an ongoing investigation. Authorities arrested 17 members of the network on April 23, six of whom were Greek nationals and the other 11 foreigners. One of the 17 arrested was a 50-year old Greek who is reportedly the illicit organisation.

The ring would procure wealthy individuals with high class girls for sexual services, with a well-known manager in the Athens showbiz circles playing a key role in the operation. The criminal group was operating five escort service offices in Athens and Thessaloniki, while its also ‘catered’ for clients abroad with operations in Berlin and Paris.

According to police investigations, the ring had set up multiple erotic sites offering female sexual services online and employed five computer programmers for maintenance and upgrading. Four of the arrested suspects would scout foreign women (Slovenia, Russia, Albania etc) and lure them into working for them.

One of the members of the ring, who remains at large, self identified as a female model manager and would recruit Greek and foreign women for the operations in Paris. The ring had two in house phone operators in their Kalithea office, with 2 shifts of 8 female employees, while it also had 25 drivers for the transport of women to arranged rendezvous with clients at hotels.

The price ranged from €100 per hour in Greece and €150-200 abroad. The money would be transferred to the 50-year old Greek businessman from the Athens and Thessaloniki offices. Police confiscated 11 vehicles,16 PCs, 140 mobile phones, €3,240 and numerous hand written notes on the operation. 13 more members, who remain at large, have been identified.

They have all been charged with setting up a criminal organisation, forgery, violation of immigration laws and laundering money from criminal activities.
