New evidence brought to light by French TC channel M6 claiming that the pilot of the crashed EgyptAir flight spoke to air traffic control in Egypt for several minutes.

M6 said that the pilot of the Egyptair A320 had “a conversation several minutes long” with Cairo air traffic control and informed them that there was smoke in the plane.

As a result of the conversation, the pilot decided to make an “emergency descent”, depressurising the cabin, so as to clear smoke fumes which had invaded the front of the aircraft.

As protothema.gr had revealed, the Airbus A-320 of EgyptAir was flying at 37,000 feet when it suddenly dropped to 9,000 feet, based on plane’s route recorded in radar. A few seconds after that the plane went missing. And that indicated that EgyptAir aircraft dropped suddenly and very fast.

This information was later confirmed by the Greek Ministry of Defence.
