The Greek government will proceed to reductions in ENFIA tax following the turmoil caused by the injustices created and the errors made through the tax calculation. Therefore, the property tax will be reduced for at least 396 areas in Greece.

According to the newspaper “Ethnos”, the largest reduction is expected to be seen to those who have large areas of property. Based on the calculations, they will not pay now any additional tax, since according to the previous ENFIA tax, which has been withdrawn, they had to pay additional tax.

The Ministry of Finance aims to correct all errors made which mainly concern areas where the tax had been increased, but no changes will be made in areas where the tax had been reduced.

The new terms for the calculation of ENFIA are expected to formally apply after August 26, when Parliament sessions begin.
