A large number of immigrants broke through a barrier at the port of Patras in the Peloponnese earlier on Thursday. The immigrants started moving towards the area in the harbour where trucks were waiting to enter the ships departing for Italy.

According to patrastimes.gr, police contained the situation after repelling the invaders, who were trying to gain access to the trucks that were waiting to board ships for Italy.
