A few hours after the new agreement in Cairo between the Palestinians and Israelis to extend the 24 hour ceasefire in Gaza, rockets were launched from the Strip, into Israel.

In response to the violation of the ceasefire, the Israeli army was ordered to respond with air strikes in the area. According to international networks three rockets hit targets in Israel.

Israeli Haaretz, relying on anonymous sources reports that Israeli aircraft raided forces in rural areas in the norther part of the Gaza Strip.

Meanwhile, Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu called on his negotiators in Cairo to withdraw from the talks and return to Israel.
