Top 10 richest F1 drivers of all time

Michael Schumacher is number one

Newsroom December 12 01:43

Lewis Hamilton is one race win away from rewriting Formula One history as he bids to win a record breaking eighth world title on Sunday at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

Only for the second time history, the F1 title battle goes down to the final race with both protagonists level on points going into the season finale.

The 36-year-old is exactly level on 369.5 points with Red Bull star Max Verstappen as they prepare for a winner-takes-all showdown after a season of fascinating battles.

Verstappen leads by the virtue of winning one more race than Hamilton’s eight this season and only needs to finish above the seven-time champion to take his maiden championship.

It’s not just the trophy they are battling for, however, with the pair amongst the highest-paid drivers in the sport, with Hamilton topping the 2020 list after claiming the title.

But where does the Mercedes star rank amongst the elite group of racing drivers? Mirror Sport looks at where he ranks in the top 10 all-time rich list.

Sebastian Vettel is currently the tenth richest F1 driver of all time
Sebastian Vettel has amassed a serious fortune during his career, believed to be worth around £75.6m.

And that will come as little surprise, considering he has been in F1 for over 10 years and has four world titles to his name between 2010 and 2013.
