On the morning of Palm Sunday, April 17, 2022, immediately after the conclusion of the Archieratical Divine Liturgy, His Eminence Metropolitan Cleopas of Sweden and All Scandinavia presented the new iconography ordaining of St. George Cathedral, at the end of his sermon.
Specifically, he presented the imposing fresco of the Enthroned Virgin Mary, surrounded by ten Prophets, measuring 6.50 x 4.20 m., which was installed on April 12 at the center of the upper chamber/balcony.
This iconography is a copy of the Enthroned Virgin Mary painted by Emmanuel Jane circa 1664.

Next, the other image of the Virgin Mary was presented, which was placed to the right of the balcony and depicts the Hagia Skepi/HolyProtection, carrying the vestibule gown, surrounded by two angels, measuring 2.34 x 2.70 m.
These two hagiographies were painted by Messrs. Michael and Dimitrios Androutsos and their collaborator Mr. Spyridon Metsis.
It was preceded by the installation of 34 more frescos in the aforementioned Cathedral in October 2021 by the same iconographers.
