France: Pilot avoids crash just meters from rocks (video)

One person was injured in the incident, but his life was not in danger and he was able to leave the hospital

Newsroom July 8 04:04

A shocking video from France has gone viral.

On Wednesday 6 July, the pilot narrowly escaped a crash when his helicopter suddenly began to plummet towards the cliffs of Vielle Lighthouse, Finistère.

As France 3’s sources reported, the helicopter lost altitude dangerously in the afternoon off the Pont-de-Raz, while its crew regained distance from the lighthouse, which is under renovation.

The images captured by a surveillance camera are breathtaking.

The helicopter is seen near the building, it begins to plummet before it manages to come back up in a cloud of smoke, not far from the surface of the ocean.

According to France Bleu, one person was injured in the incident, but his life was not in danger and he was able to leave the hospital in Brest.
