Mitsotakis clarified that the trust shown by the citizens means that there is a heavier burden to serve the Motherland

Newsroom June 25 09:30

The winner of the 2023 run-up elections, Kyriakos Mitsotakis sent a message of hard work and acceleration of reforms without arrogance or arrogant attitudes in his first statements after the landslide victory of New Democracy ND).

Mitsotakis emphasised that the Greek people gave a strong mandate to New Democracy, stressing that the results of the two electoral contests mean the end of toxicity and the beginning of the era of stability.

Afterward, Mitsotakis clarified that the trust shown by the citizens means that there is a heavier burden to serve the Motherland himself. “I will stay true to my national duty of hard work, I will not tolerate arrogant or arrogant behavior,” he said.

Speaking about the exercise of governance, Mitsotakis said that the ND secured a strong majority with which his party will be able to immediately proceed with the reforms needed. “When I took my first steps 20 years ago, I never imagined that today I would be in front of you having the honour and responsibility of being elected prime minister with an absolute majority for the second time. I try to learn from my mistakes and I wouldn’t have been able to do it without my partners. Thanks to my family for always keeping me grounded. Today we will enjoy our victory for a while but from tomorrow morning we will roll up our sleeves again to build together a strong Greece with more prosperity and justice”, he said.
