The administration of the University of Athens has suspended the administrative employee who publicly stated that he participated in the sabotage of the server of the University of Athens yesterday, which resulted in the postponement of the distance learning examinations in the University’s faculties.

Meanwhile, in the wake of the mishap, the NSCA is moving to build infrastructure to have a back-up computer system and has taken extra security measures at the Network Operations and Management Centre.

At the same time, those involved in yesterday’s sabotage have begun to be summoned as part of the investigation ordered by the rectorial authorities.

In particular, the university and the leadership of the Ministry of Education have been informed about the suspended official.

It is noted that yesterday, during a protest demonstration, the operation of the University’s Network Operation and Management Centre, through which the distance examinations of students are conducted, was interrupted for about an hour.
