Protothema.gr has released a video that shows the area where the flooding begun during last Friday’s heavy rain, creating a torrent that wreathed havoc in the western suburbs of Attica region.

More specifically, the video shows the area of the Eshatia Stream, at the border between the municipalities of Menidi and Liosia.

The stream swelled within the first thirty minutes of the rain, overflowing its banks and creating a torrent that flooded the nearby houses, forcing the residents to abandon them with the risk of losing all their belongings.
