An alarm was raised at dawn on Friday in Crete at the fire brigade as two French nationals, a mother and daughter, went missing on a path in Stavros Chania leading to the Gouverneto Monastery.

Initially, the daughter was very slow to return, causing her mother to go out to look for her and at the same time ask for the help of the authorities. However, after a point, she too went missing.

Immediately set up an operation by a rescue team of Chania, with the two Frenchwomen were found after an hour in good condition, but having suffered shock.
