Erdoğan’s ruling partner made a “bombshell” proposal, calling on Abdullah Öcalan to announce the dissolution of the Kurdish Workers’ Party PKK in exchange for its release.
The leader of the Nationalist Action Party (NAP) hinted that he would agree to Öcalan’s conditional release if he publicly and from the floor of the National Assembly renounced armed activity and called on PKK members to surrender their weapons.
“If everyone agrees on politics, a country, and a future without terrorism, then we are ready to move forward. Let’s let the terrorist leader, who said he was ready to offer all kinds of services when he was brought to Türkiye, unilaterally declare that terrorism is over and the organization has been purged,” the Grey Wolf leader said.
