The 50 year old man was arrested for illegal possession of ancient objects.

A file for violation of the law on Protection of Antiquities and cultural heritage was formed against the arrested.

More specifically, following a police investigation on midday Saturday, police officers searched the home of the 50 year old man and found and seized house a part of a clay pot lid of the Hellenistic period, a stone of the early Christian period and a stone of the classical-Hellenistic period.

All ancient objects were checked by an archaeologist who and will be sent to the relevant department.

The 50 year old man will be driven to the First Instance Attorney in Kalamata.
