Two Metro stations will be closed tomorrow, Friday, due to assemblies taking place in the morning and afternoon to mark the 16th anniversary of the murder of Alexandros Grigoropoulos in Exarchia.
As stated in the statement of STASY:
By order of the Hellenic Police, on Friday, December 6, 2024
– the Metro station “University” will be closed at 9 am and
– The station “Monastiraki” (Lines 1 & 3) will be closed at 11 am until 3 pm and again at 5 pm.
Trains will pass through these stations without stopping. The stations will be reopened with a new order from the National Police.
Exceptional traffic regulations
At the same time, the Traffic Police announced that there would be extraordinary traffic regulations on various roads in the center of Athens.
The traffic regulations will be implemented gradually and depending on the traffic conditions.
