The 4th Panhellenic Yachting Conference started its work today (Thursday 20/2) in Athens. Its purpose is to highlight innovation, education and information on critical issues such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), green technologies and future trends in the yachting industry, while a special addition is mindful breaks, the new trend that focuses on the importance of wellness in the business world. The conference will be attended by yachting executives, representatives of yacht charter companies, marina management and yacht support services, yacht owners, yacht builders, brokers, representatives of public bodies, etc., while its hybrid format will give the opportunity to attend remotely to those professionals and friends of marine tourism who will not be able to attend. The conference will be addressed by the President of the Greek National Tourism Organisation, Angela Gerekou, and will conclude tomorrow, 21 February.

The 2nd Annual Orancon Travel Forum is being held on February 28 and March 1 at a central Athens hotel. This initiative aims to globalize the Greek tourism product and highlight innovative and unique applications across the entire spectrum of tourism activity through dialogue, exchange of best practice proposals and international synergies. This year’s event will focus mainly on the impact of climate change on the tourism industry in Europe and the emerging future of cruising in the Mediterranean region, with the participation of high-level executives from public and private institutions and businesses in the tourism sector. Also, Tourism Open Days (TOD) 2025 will evolve throughout the year, with events in five European cities. This is an institution that aims to promote Greek destinations abroad, with detailed presentations to the international audience, B2B business meetings and other related activities. Each of the events is structured in three parts: in the first, the participating destinations are presented; in the second, the representatives of the destinations and their tourism professionals have the opportunity for targeted B2B meetings with travel agents, tour operators and opinion leaders, while the third is a formal dinner for all the guests to give them the opportunity to get to know each other better. This year’s TODs will start in Sofia (12/3) and will continue in Bucharest (11/4), Paris (16/9), Istanbul (2/10) and Vienna (16/10).
