A woman alleges that she was forced by financier Jeffrey Epstein to have sex with Prince Andrew and lawyer Alan Dershowitz when she was still a minor. She says that the meetings with the Duke of York took place in London, New York and on a private Caribbean island owned by Mr. Epstein. The sexual encounters are said to have taken place between 1999 and 2002.
Both Mr. Dershowitz, a former Harvard law professor, and Buckingham Palace have denied that the allegations are true. A Buckingham Palace spokeswoman said that the case “relates to long-standing and ongoing civil proceedings in the United States, to which the Duke of York is not a party. As such we would not comment on the detail. However, for the avoidance of doubt, any suggestion of impropriety with under age minors is categorically untrue.”
Mr. Epstein has already served 13 months for pedophilia in 2008 for soliciting girls for underage prostitution. He was considered one of the best-connected men in America prior to serving time in prison.
Prince Andrew continued to be friends with Mr. Epstein despite his conviction. Documents claim that Prince Andrew tried to use his influence to assist Epstein during the police probe.
The alleged victim responded to the men’s denials of having sexual encounters by stating that she would not be bullied into silence. She claims that she and other underage girls were offered for sexual activities by Ghislaine Maxwell, the socialite daughter of a corrupt tycoon, Robert Maxwell.

“These type of aggressive attacks on me are exactly the reason why sexual abuse victims typically remain silent and the reason why I did for a long time,” says the woman, known as Jane Doe. “That trend should change. I’m not going to be bullied back into silence.”
