The weather on Holy Wednesday will be severely deteriorated, according to the weather service’s urgent statement.

In detail:

1. On Holy Wednesday (16-4-2014), there will be strong showers and thunderstorms likely to be accompanied by hail and very strong winds are expected in the northern Ionian sea, Epirus and western Macedonia. The intense phenomena will quickly spread to the entirety of western and northern Greece. Snowfall is expected in the afternoon in the mountains of Epirus, Macedonia and western central Greece.

2. On Holy Thursday (17-4-2014), there are showers and thunderstorms expected in western Greece. The aforementioned intense phenomena will affect the rst of the country in Western Macedonia, Thessaly, eastern central Greece, Evia and eastern Peloponnese, though, experiencing them in a faded manner. Snowfall on the mountains is also expected.

3. On Good Friday (18-4-2014), the fickle weather will continue with potential showers and thunderstorms in eastern Macedonia, Thrace and the islands of the northern and eastern parts of the Aegean sea. Snowfall is once again expected on mountaintops over 1100 meters.
