The message, ‘We will recover the funds stolen by fraudsters,’ was sent from Karpenisi, where Kyriakos Mitsotakis is today, on the occasion of the OPEKEPE case.
As he noted, “we were the first to ask for an inquiry into OPEKEPE, not only to assign responsibilities, but how to become better,” adding that the goal is “to use European subsidies for the benefit of real farmers.”
Referring to the general political scene, the prime minister commented that “in a democracy it is necessary to disagree, but we cannot see our political opponent as an enemy we want to eliminate.”
“In an environment of instability, we do not need polarization, logics of eliminating the opponent and criminalizing political life,” he added in this context.
Finally, he assured that “in the current international environment, the country stands strong, stable and confident.”
