Hollywood 90s super-hit “Pretty Woman” was a romantic comedy that went down in history as one of the most successful movies of its decade.

25 years after it was premiered in cinemas, Richard Gere and Julia Roberts gave an interview on the movie’s unknown ending.

As they said, the first version of the movie had a much more dramatic tone. Roberts’ character Vivian is addicted to drugs and Gere’s character Edward abandons her after removing her from his vehicle and throwing cash in her face. However, when Disney took over the film, it changed the script, making it seem more like a Cinderella story.

Julia Roberts had received the role while Gere refused to join, adamantly. It was only after Roberts’ pleading post-it note and the obvious chemistry between the two that the film was completed successfully with Gere in the main role.

It went well for both of them, as they became known worldwide.
