Choreographers Sophie Bulbuyan and Apostolia Papadamaki join a global dance team to create an underwater dance-visual performance titled “Drops of Breath”. The 14 performers from France, Greece and Cyprus will present their underwater choreography at Cape Sounion beach, the sea region at the foot of the cliff where the Greek temple of Poseidon is located.
The innovative performance has sound design by Escoitar (Enrique Tomas) that offers an immersive sound experience to audience members made up of certified divers who can sit on underwater benches. Meanwhile, three underwater cameras will broadcast the performance live.
The polymorphic project has the support of the European Union, Creative Europe Horizon 2020. It takes place at Cape Sounion from September 25-27.
