Following his meeting with President of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades, Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras said on Friday that Greece and Cyprus are a field of stability in the wider region, which is characterized by conflicts.

After the conclusion of the meeting, the Greek PM announced that the two leaders agreed on a trilateral meeting with Egypt that will focus on ways to safeguard the peace and stability in the Eastern Mediterranean.

“This meeting is also an invitation to other forces of the region to cooperate with us, always within the framework of the international UN principles,” Tsipras added.
