36-year-old Greek American Maria Menounos is one of the most ardent ambassadors of Greece, as she often praises her homeland to the foreign media.
Indeed, in a recent interview she gave to The Boston Globe, when asked about her favorite vacations spots, she immediately replied “Greece” and went on to add: “Greece is the most beautiful place in the world, and Greek people just want to have fun, so when you go there, you’re sucked into this vortex of fun, and it’s just an amazing, amazing time!”
Later on in the interview, when the journalist asked Maria about her favorite childhood travel memories, she replied: “My dad was a janitor at nightclubs all over Boston and we all — my mother, my brother, and me — helped him. We would find loose change on the floor and my dad cut a little sliver in a helium tank so we could put money in, but not take it out. When I was 10, we had saved enough money to go to Greece. It was amazing.”
Maria Menounos recently left her cohosting gig at “Extra” and will be hosting a new show, “Untold With Maria Menounos,” on the E! Network. She has also just penned her second book, “The EveryGirl’s Guide to Diet and Fitness,” a follow-up to her 2011 New York Times bestseller, “The EveryGirl’s Guide to Life.”
According to Maria Menounos, who lives in Los Angeles with her longtime boyfriend, Keven Undergaro, her new book is “a must read for women who want to improve their physical health”.
