Greek Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis will be in Washington in the coming hours for a meeting with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio. He participated yesterday in the meeting of the European Union’s Foreign Affairs Council.
This will be the second time the Greek foreign minister visits the United States Department of State, as Mr. Gerapetritis was among the first foreign ministers to meet Mr. Rubio in March 2025, following the election of Donald Trump.
According to information, the two ministers are expected to discuss the further deepening of U.S.–Greece cooperation, as well as international developments concerning Iran, Ukraine, and Gaza.
