ALCO poll: Dendias, Pierrakakis and Georgiadis rated the most successful ministers

Public satisfaction with the prime minister’s performance has risen to 23%. When asked whether there is someone who could perform the role of prime minister better, “no one” receives 54%, followed by Nikos Androulakis and Alexis Tsipras with 5% each

Newsroom March 10 10:08

The trio of ministers considered the most successful by citizens remains unchanged in the second part of the ALCO survey presented on Alpha TV’s main news bulletin. Nikos Dendias ranks first both among the general public and among New Democracy voters, followed by Kyriakos Pierrakakis in second place and Adonis Georgiadis in third.

In detail, in spontaneous responses among all voters:

  • The Minister of Defence receives 34%
  • The Minister of Finance receives 16%
  • The Minister of Health receives 8%

They are followed by Kostis Hatzidakis (5%), Vassilis Kikilias (3%), Niki Kerameus (3%), and Michalis Chrysochoidis (3%).

Among current New Democracy voters:

  • Nikos Dendias receives 61%
  • Kyriakos Pierrakakis 43%
  • Adonis Georgiadis 27%
  • Kostis Hatzidakis 17%

They are again followed by Niki Kerameus, Vassilis Kikilias, and Michalis Chrysochoidis.

When asked—again with spontaneous responses—who could perform the duties of prime minister better than Kyriakos Mitsotakis, “no one” leads with 54%, while Nikos Androulakis and Alexis Tsipras follow with 5% each. The prime minister’s approval rating has increased by two points since November, reaching 23%.

The responses regarding the Tempi train tragedy are also notable. The percentage of those who believe there was a cover-up has decreased slightly but remains very high (from 72% to 67%), while 73% say the real culprits will not be punished.

The share of respondents who believe the government has done what is necessary to make trains safe has more than doubled but remains low, rising from 7% to 15%.

At the same time, more than one in two people (53%) say they have witnessed arguments or acts of violence on the street over trivial reasons.
