A breathtaking video has been circulating on social media in recent hours, capturing the moment an Israeli missile lands next to a Russian journalist while he is reporting in southern Lebanon.
According to Russia Today (RT), the head of the channel’s bureau in Lebanon, Steve Sweeney, and his cameraman were injured and are hospitalized in stable condition, conscious and receiving treatment.
As seen in the video, while the journalist is delivering a report on a destroyed road in southern Lebanon, a missile strikes right behind him, causing a powerful explosion, forcing the Russian reporter to run for safety.
Russia expects a response from international organizations
The incident was commented on by the spokesperson of Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, who, according to the Russian news agency TASS, stressed that “Russia expects a response from international organizations.”
“This attack cannot be described as accidental,” she noted.
