Recep Tayyip Erdogan spoke in a stern tone about Israel’s persistence—and personally Benjamin Netanyahu’s—in threatening the wider region and global peace.

“Netanyahu continues to promote violence and terror, threatening stability in the region and global peace. His attacks, focused on Iran, have heightened instability in our region,” Erdogan stated.

The Turkish president also pointed out the growing threat from the war in Ukraine, which is entering its fifth year, causing even more tension in the Black Sea region.

At the same time, he emphasized the seriousness of the situation in Gaza, where Israeli actions continue to cause massive humanitarian crises and loss of life.

Referring to recent events, Erdogan stressed that Israel, taking advantage of the situation, closed the historic Al-Aqsa Mosque to worshippers, sparking outrage in the Muslim world.

“We are forced to face yet another dangerous path full of obstacles and traps. The war in Gaza, illegal activities in the West Bank, and the escalation of violence by Iran are making the situation in our region increasingly dangerous,” he noted.

Erdogan defended Turkey’s policy for regional stability, pointing out that the country is making continuous efforts to achieve dialogue and a diplomatic solution for the peaceful resolution of conflicts. “We are ready to make every possible effort to restore peace and calm in our region. One of our recent successes was halting the clashes between Pakistan and Afghanistan during Ramadan,” the Turkish president concluded.
