Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias met with Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu in Istanbul on Monday, with the meeting taking place in a cordial climate and with the Greek side expressing satisfaction for a “very enhanced meeting”.
Kotzias met with reporters after the meeting and said issues discussed included the launch of exploratory contacts and expanding confidence-building measures.
“Turkey is willing to cooperate and help on any issue,” said Davutoglu in his meeting with Kotzias, before agreeing to extend confidence-building measures in a number of issues, such as culture, education and the economy as well as what he called “aeronautical issues”.
