Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed today that Israeli armed forces intercepted another vessel heading toward Gaza, describing it as part of a “malicious” plot.
“You are carrying out this operation with remarkable success… Continue until the mission is completed,” the prime minister told the commander of the Israeli naval forces overseeing the operation.
“I believe that you are thwarting a malicious attempt designed to break the blockade we have imposed on Hamas terrorists in Gaza,” Netanyahu added, according to a statement from his office.
Israeli military forces intercepted the “Global Sumud Flotilla for Gaza” off the coast of Cyprus. The flotilla, consisting of 50 boats, had departed from southern Turkey last week, organizers said in a post on X.
