The fifth edition of A Day With My Pet, a public event dedicated to pets and responsible animal care, will be held on Friday, June 26, at Makedonia Square in Gerakas, a suburb of eastern Attica within the Municipality of Pallini.
The event is organised by topetmou.gr, a Greek pet-focused platform, in cooperation with the Region of Attica. It follows previous editions in Marousi, Kallithea, Paleo Faliro and Petroupoli, and is designed for families, children, pet owners and anyone considering adopting an animal.
Visitors will be able to meet dogs and cats available for adoption through the 27th Pet City Adoption Day, with organisers placing emphasis on responsible adoption as one of the main ways to reduce the number of stray animals in Greece.
The programme also includes a Protergia photobooth for visitors and their pets, children’s face painting inspired by animals, paw-print keepsakes made with pet-safe washable colours, and goody bags with gifts and samples.
Pet owners will also be able to get practical information on animal care. At the Perfect Pet stand, visitors can ask questions about dog and cat nutrition and receive product samples from Egeo pet foods, represented by Aigeas, the event’s new welfare-focused mascot.
Emergency care will also be part of the event. At the Eurolife FFH stand, visitors will be shown basic CPR and first-aid techniques for pets, while also receiving information on insurance options for companion animals.
Another stand will introduce Snappi, the first Greek neobank licensed by the European Central Bank. While owners learn about its mobile banking services, dogs will be able to receive grooming care from a professional groomer, who will also offer advice on daily coat and hygiene routines.
Representatives of the Region of Attica will be present to discuss planned actions on stray animals, animal welfare and the promotion of responsible adoption among both adults and children.
