With heat, strong meltemia in the Aegean and local afternoon thunderstorms in the mountainous areas the weekend will unfold, with the temperature rising locally to 38 to 39 degrees Celsius.

The weather will be generally clear in most of the country, however during the midday and afternoon hours temporary clouds will develop over the mainland, giving local showers and possibly isolated thunderstorms mainly in the western and northern mountainous areas.

At the same time, the northerly winds will strengthen significantly in the Aegean. On Saturday they will reach locally 7 Beaufort, while on Sunday and Monday a further strengthening is expected, with gusts that will locally touch 8 Beaufort. The temperature will remain at high levels also in the coming days, without significant change.

Generally clear weather. During the midday – afternoon hours temporary clouds will develop over the mainland, so in the mountainous areas local rains or showers will occur and in the western and northern mountainous areas isolated thunderstorms.

The winds will blow from northerly directions 3 to 5 and in the Aegean 6 to 7, gradually locally 8 Beaufort.

The temperature will not show significant change. It will reach 35 to 37 degrees, locally on the mainland 38 to 39 and in the Cyclades 30 to 31 degrees Celsius.
