Dijsselbloem: Still ‘long way to go’ on Greek proposals

One day after the submission of a detailed 26-page document outlining the reforms proposed by the Finance Ministry

Eurogroup Chairman Jeroen Dijsselbloem said on Thursday that there is still a “long way to go” before an agreement can be reached with regard to Greece’s aid proposals.

One day after the submission of a detailed 26-page document to Greece’s international creditors by the Greek Government, outlining the reforms proposed by the Finance Ministry, Dijsselbloem told reporters in the Hague that the list is “continuously improving.”

According to Bloomberg Agency, the Eurogroup Chief also noted that the Greek Govt “delivers more and more proposals that are more and more detailed,” and forecasted that “on some parts, an agreement will definately be reached.”

“There must be a good package which can also be realized in the four months we’re talking about,” he also stressed, adding that “the clock continues to tick,” and expressing the hope that an agreement will be reached soon on the main issues.
