President Macron is expected to acknowledge the commitment of the Ecumenical Patriarch to interfaith dialogue and tolerance

The Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew is visiting Paris where he will meet with French President Emmanuel Macron. According to French diplomatic circles, President Macron is expected to acknowledge the commitment of the Ecumenical Patriarch to interfaith dialogue and tolerance while among the topics to be discussed is the ongoing war in Ukraine as well as issues related to environmental protection and global warming.

The Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew will meet with the Prime Minister of France, Gabriel Attal, and with the President of the Senate, Gérard Larcher. He will also make an official visit to the Conference of French Bishops. According to the official program of the visit, a formal  reception and a Doxology will be held at the Cathedral of Saint Stephen in Paris, presided by the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew. The dinner will be held in the presence of political figures from both Greece and France, diplomats from Orthodox countries, representatives of other Christian denominations and delegates of other religions
