President Erdogan emphasized that Constantinople, which carries the traces of its history to this day and is a source of inspiration for artists, is among the most popular cities in the world as a business, economic, commercial, artistic, cultural, and religious center of Turkey, and added: “The faith, determination, and courage shown by Fatih Sultan Mehmet and our heroic soldiers during the conquest of Constantinople inspire us today to achieve the goal of the Turkish Century. On the occasion of the 571st anniversary of the conquest of Constantinople, I remember with compassion, respect, and gratitude Fatih Sultan Mehmet and our dear martyrs who left us this unique city of global beauty and greet all our citizens with my warmest feelings.”
