Farmers harden their stance and close Tempi Valley indefinitely

Farmers decided to close the Athens-Thessaloniki motorway at Tempi Valley indefinitely starting from Tuesday noon hardening their stance against the government reform plans in social security, pension and tax system.

Meanwhile, the farmers of Tempi Valley blockade along with the farmers of Mikrothives blockade published on Monday their proposals concerning the social security and tax system and production costs and stated that they are willing to participate in a debate with the government on their proposals. They also argued that they will not take part in the protest rally scheduled for Friday at the center of Athens.

Moreover, today they will present their proposals to the representatives of other blockades at Promachonas aiming to get their approval and sent the document with the proposals to Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and President of Parliament.
