Greece Rings Resort: Barcelona architects inspired by Greece

Greece Rings Resort is a floating resort with a Grecian feel

Resort Greece is a tourist resort projected by Maritime Architecture Barcelona (MAB) that ensures the privacy of a visitor who flees from the noise and seeks to establish in a quiet space provided with all the comforts that guarantee a perfect stay. The resort is completely equipped with services of leisure and playful but simultaneously, every villa preserves it own space to be able to enjoy an absolute privacy.

The offer of the Resort Greece B develops a system of flexible growth from a unit / villa in the shape of ring that improve the concept of intimacy supporting a wide visual panorama. This system of rings formed by radial units can form different geometries which result are villas more protected. This system of rings is more flexible because it is extendable and modifiable. This type of resorts has a free construction and it’s possible in any coastal zone.

MAB’S modular system awards absolute freedom in the construction of these villas that continue, all of them, a model of circular volumetry and allows a constant relation with the exterior and they have different sizes too. Different typologies of apartments have been designed: simple, double or triple. The space projected in circular floor awards a special character to the resort, they are villas thought to enjoy an intimate space of quality, which allow big accesses of natural light, diaphanous distributions and which they possess advanced technologies to propitiate a sustainable environment.

MAB’S architecture solves spaces and applies solutions as installing big solar panels in the cover of the villas to take advantage of the solar irradiation. The access to the villas always will be pedestrian or electrical vehicles and it is solved by small independent accesses from the principal routes. The urban development distribution that the resort demands is fully sustainable, creating an atmosphere of tranquility and of harmony with the environment. Every circular villa has it own pier and it own private beach. Between the cores of the villas also you can find public beaches and common places. In this relation so clear, terraces are projected in the top part of the villas like big solariums.

The circular villas have a system of solar protection in base of a vertical vegetation that surrounds the villa and generates an own habitat. This perimeter works as boundary between the villas and simultaneously it is a window box that forms a cooling sieve that allows certain independency with the villa, creating a space of terraces and exterior private stays. This green perimeter designed in wood works like brise-soleil and controls the incidence of light and the sights focusing them towards the beach deprived of the villa. This game of rings forms a geometric distribution protected by big dikes that control the winds and the tides.

The floating resort proposes a new form of rest, in relation with the sea, in a different and exclusive environment.
