Gunman enters Greek supermarket, takes hostages (pics + vid)

A hostage situation took place at a supermarket at 35 Styron Street, Zographon, east of the Athens center. Police reports state that an Albanian gunman, aged 30, entered the super market through the side door as employees were entering. One of the three staff members managed to hide and call police.

Accounts state that the gunman headed to the manager’s office and tried to force open the safety deposit box in the room.

Police arrived, managed to arrest the gunman and free the hostages. There are reports that the gun was fake. Sources state that the employees have been taken to hospital.
