Mediterranean Film Institute’s workshops to be held at Michael Cacoyannis Foundation

Under the guidance of Nikos Panagiotopoulos (author/screenwriter) and Dimitris Yatzouzakis (director).

Script2Film Workshops, an advanced script and project development program organized annually by the Mediterranean Film Institute (MFI) in collaboration with the Greek Film Centre (GFC), will be held this year at Michael Cacoyannis Foundation.

The ten short film screenwriters who were recently approved for funding from the GFC will have the opportunity to participate in a specialized script development program under the guidance of Nikos Panagiotopoulos (author/screenwriter) and Dimitris Yatzouzakis (director).

The program includes two cycles of meetings with an interim period for rewriting. On Monday, December 15 at 10:00 am the program will be officially launched at Michael Cacoyannis Foundation. Participants will present their scripts (pitching) before their colleagues, teachers and ECC representatives.

The first Cycle will take place on December 16 and 19 from 09:00 to 19:00 in the Black Box hall at the Cacoyannis Foundation. The second Cycle will take place in January 2015.

The MFI workshops for short films date back to 2000. In the 15 years since their launch, more than 250 scripts have been developed and more than 180 films have been filmed, many of which have received national and international awards and prizes.
