New foreign investments are important for Greece’s economy, Mardas says

He referred to government’s new policies which aim to attract new foreign investments and promote exports

Deputy Foreign Minister Dimitris Mardas spoke at Capital Link investment conference in New York and called on investors to show confidence and invest in Greece.

He referred to government’s new policies which aim to attract new foreign investments and promote exports.

More specifically, he talked about government’s initiatives to establish a stable and favorable investment climate through the reduction of bureaucracy and the simplification of licencing procedures, while he stressed the importance of foreign investors in order for Greece to achieve high growth rates.

He also highlighted Greece’s geostrategic position which makes the country an energy and transit hub and referred to the positive prospects of the tourism sector.

Mardas has a series of bilateral meetings with foreign investors.
