There will be no public transport on Wednesday, September 21, after workers declared a 24-hour strike. The decision was announced by the Athens Labour Centre (EKA) in an emergency meeting ahead of the passing of the draft law on the management of public enterprises and organisations (DEKO) in Parliament.
The strike includes workers in trams, urban buses, and the metro. The workers claim the new draft will detrimentally affect their working conditions, hiring practices, and wages.
