Cologne airport is shut down and evacuated since a woman managed to pass through security without being checked, according to preliminary information.

A number of flights have been cancelled and both terminals have been shut down causing panic to passengers.

An ongoing police operation is underway after the security breach at the terminal, while a police helicopter is flying over the airport.
