Stefanos Kasselakis: Walking in Thebes before presenting himself to the Army – “We are honoured that you chose Thebes”, civilians said to him

The first thing he did was to buy contact lenses – His father accompanied him – At 16:00 the president of SYRIZA will pass through the doors of the camp

In a few hours the president of SYRIZA, Stefanos Kasselakis, who arrived in the city of Thebes a few hours before 14:00, will be presented to the army.

In the town where he will be presented, he was welcomed by SYRIZA MP for Boeotia, Giota Poulou, with Kasselakis going to an optical shop to buy contact lenses, while he then visited a pharmacy to get the essentials he will need in the camp.

He was greeted in the central square of Thebes by local residents and clubs who offered gifts to Stefanos Kasselakis as he begins his service.

“We are honoured” said locals who welcomed him.

The father of Stefanos Kasselakis is also in Thebes to accompany his son to the camp for his short service.

Among the people who came to greet Kasselakis was a little six-year-old girl who cried in the hands of the SYRIZA president. Kasselakis even told the little girl to meet again at his first visit

Kasselakis made a short speech in the central square of Thebes.

“Thank you for the warm welcome. It is an honor to be here to serve my country as an expatriate who has returned to contribute to his homeland.

My mother also lived here in Thebes for a short period of time,” and added about agriculture, “We have announced measures for agriculture that are self-evident for us.

There should be a regulation for agricultural land at a time when the crisis in the supply chain is raging.

There is an agricultural college here also which needs to be strengthened.”

Kasselakis enters the camp in Thebes at 16:00 to serve his military service as an expatriate for about two weeks, as he is expected to be discharged between March 30 and April 5.
