37 members of the central youth committee of the Radical Left Coalition, including former secretary Ilias Chronopoulos, withdrew from the left party. These members will be supporting anti-bailout ballots in the coming elections on September 20. The latest move marks a blow to the majority party’s youth faction and a rejection of TINA (There is No Alternative) to the bailout, with an evident preference for “NO until the end”.

Sources state that some of the dissenters will be absorbed by Panagiotis Lafazanis Popular Unity party while others are seeking to create new unions.
